Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Emergency/Critical Care Veterinary Technician

Fort Collins, CO

Come join the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and provide exceptional veterinary care and service to the community while educating the next generation of veterinarians at a tertiary level teaching hospital. Critical Care Service (CCS) provides medical care for small animals on an emergency basis and intensive 24-hour critical care to patients who are admitted for treatment. Challenge yourself and join our team to provide high quality innovative evidence-based medicine. We support our technicians to be an integral part of the medical team while performing tasks such as triage, administering treatments and medications, communicating with clinicians surrounding patient concerns, performing advanced technical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care and customer service. A positive and hardworking attitude is a must. CCS manages complex cases such as poly-trauma patients, patients requiring mechanical ventilation and cardiopulmonary bypass recovery. CCS is a fast-paced environment where excellent communication and teamwork are vital. Applicants should be equally excited to receive extensive training as well as teach. Mentoring for Veterinary Technician Specialty (ECC) is available.
