Congratulations on your decision to join the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo veterinary team! Work at one of North America's top 10 zoos in the city that U.S. News and World Report named the #1 Most Desirable Place to Live and the #2 Best Place to Live in the U.S. for 2022-2023. Join our team, which includes 3 veterinarians and a hospital manager/veterinary technician, in addition to this full-time posted position. You will work with one of North America's largest giraffe herds and help be on the forefront of advancing giraffe medicine as part of our Giraffe Center, in addition to providing the highest level of care for the multitude of other species that captivate our guests and team members daily. You will help grow and maintain an active teaching program including: a post-graduate zoo veterinary technician position; veterinary students from Colorado State University and Western University Colleges of Veterinary Medicine; and help fulfill MOU's with the United States Air Force Academy Falconry Program and the Fort Carson United States Army Post’s Veterinary Team.
