Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and surgeries
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures, including monitoring anesthesia
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • Instrument cleaning, Preparing/wrapping surgical packs and autoclaving tasks
  • Review estimates with clients and explain benefits of each recommendation


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Proficiency in dog and cat handling and animal restraint techniques
  • Capability of doing math for drug dosages, fluid rates, etc
  • Knowledge of animal physiology and husbandry practices
  • Experience with veterinary critical care and emergency procedures

  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism

Job Types: Full-time


Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour


Expected hours: 32+ per week
