Veterinary Medical Director Opportunity at Los Angeles Animal Specialty Emergency and Rehabilitation (LAASER) 


Los Angeles Animal Specialty Emergency & Rehabilitation (LAASER) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Medical Director to lead our multi-disciplinary specialty and emergency hospital. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated leader to oversee medical operations, mentor veterinary teams, and drive clinical excellence while maintaining an active caseload. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with specialists, emergency veterinarians, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, a positive team culture, and operational efficiency. 

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and team builder with a passion for advancing veterinary medicine, fostering professional growth, and implementing best practices in clinical care. We are open to a traditional Medical Director position or a split-role arrangement that combines clinical responsibilities with Medical Director leadership duties, allowing the right candidate to continue practicing medicine while helping shape the future of the hospital.

What We Are Looking For:

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school 
• Board-certified or experienced in a specialty and/or emergency setting
• Leadership experience in a specialty or emergency hospital setting preferred
• California veterinary licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
• Strong clinical, operational, and communication skills
• Ability to foster a culture of teamwork, learning, and high-level patient care
