Registered Veterinary technician

At Animal Dental Care & Oral Surgery in Fort Collins, we value our veterinary technicians as important team members. We are a fast-paced, high-volume, dental specialty referral practice performing advanced dental care and oral surgery for dogs and cats. We offer a 4 x 10-hour work week with no weekends or holidays.

We will provide support to further your education. Our doctor team consists of MJ Redman, DVM, DAVDC and two residents. We are currently searching for a full-time compassionate, critical thinking, career-driven RVT/CVT/LVT with 2+ years experience and an interest in dentistry and anesthesia. Candidates should possess the skills necessary to provide quality patient care for pets, have proficient knowledge in veterinary medicine and communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding client care services.


Technical skills should include but are not limited to:

  • Has previous experience working in surgery and monitoring anesthesia
  • Dental Prophylaxis, Probing and Charting (and dental digital radiographs a plus)
  • Anesthesia experience: induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery
  • Venipuncture and phlebotomy
  • Administration of Medications PO, SQ, IM, IV
  • Proficient in medical math
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to pre-op and post-op patients
  • Well-developed animal handling and restraint skills
  • Work directly with owners from check-in to check out
  • Superb communication skills with both clients and other staff via email, phone and in-person
  • Willingness to communicate clearly with Dr., team, and clients regarding treatment and estimates
  • Must thrive in a team environment
  • Prepares the treatment area for procedures, including preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Has experience with cleaning and wrapping surgical instruments
  • Is organized, focused and efficient
  • Willing and capable of lifting 30+ lbs
