Veterinary Technician
The Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited clinic located in Longmont, CO. We are a full-service veterinary hospital that has been caring for companion animals in Longmont and surrounding areas since 1946. Our dedicated veterinarians and experienced staff are committed to providing the highest quality veterinary care throughout the life of each pet. We also have many doctors and technicians that are certified Fear Free. While upholding the highest standards in veterinary medicine, our team strives to individualize each role in the hospital to utilize your skills and knowledge to the best of your abilities. The Animal Hospital is looking for a Certified Veterinary Technician and/or an experienced Veterinary Assistant (3+ years of experience) to join our team. We do have full-time or part-time positions available.
Responsibilities Include venipuncture, catheter placement, lab sample collection, admitting and discharging surgical patients, monitoring hospitalized patients, dispensing medications as directed by veterinarians, assisting doctors in exam rooms, and assisting with surgical procedures/dentals.
Required skills Taking TPR and history for medical exams, proficiency in restraint, ability to complete diagnostics in-clinic, ability to communicate information to clients and other team members, strong anesthetic monitoring skills.
