Veterinary Technician

What You Bring

  • You are a compassionate caregiver who is committed to both the emotional and physical wellbeing of your patients.
  • You are comfortable and efficient in a high-volume surgical environment, bringing strong skills in venipuncture, intubation, catheter placement, and anesthesia administration and monitoring.
  • You think clearly under pressure and respond swiftly and effectively in an emergency.
  • You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with new assistants, technicians, and volunteers, and you help them feel welcome and supported.
  • You recognize the significance of the human-animal bond, and you are proud to support the formation and continuation of these powerful relationships.

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on certification and experience

Foothills Animal Shelter offers a competitive total compensation package. Employees become eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability, and an array of supplemental benefits after 60 days of employment. Foothills offers coverage of the premiums for medical plans, dental, vision, and long-term disability. Employees earn sick and vacation time each pay period, plus six recognized holidays. After six months of employment, employees are eligible for a 401K retirement plan that FAS will match up to 3%. CVTs are also eligible for employee reimbursement for continuing education expenses. Foothills Animal Shelter is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness employer.
