Veterinary Technician II - Intermediate (IMCU) Patient Care (Swing C)
The CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) exists to provide exceptional veterinary care and service to the community while educating the next generation of veterinarians at a tertiary level teaching hospital. The Small Animal Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) is an integral part of the VTH providing 24-hour, exceptional medical care to patients needing hospitalization for specialized care and outpatient recovery services for same-day procedures. This is a growing service that provides hospital care to all small animal areas of the hospital, supports teaching/guidance for veterinary students, is a medical facility for veterinary research, and is a public animal health care center for exotic, large and small animals.

Fort Collins is situated on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with views of 14,000 foot peaks, and offers access to numerous cultural, recreational, and outdoor opportunities.Position SummaryThis position provides exceptional technical and nursing support to IMCU patients. The position admits patients, provides anesthesia recovery, administers medication, treatments and overall specialized patient care as ordered by the VTH service clinicians. This position instructs/guides veterinary technician students, technicians, and veterinary students working in IMCU as needed. This position has a higher level of experience that allows them to manage and guide the needs of our patients.
This position typically works 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm (10-hour shifts) four days per week, but may be asked to adjust to meet the needs of the department and university. Rotating days of the week (including weekends and holidays).
This is an essential worker position and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption.
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.

A combination of signing bonus + moving expenses available = $2,500 max
$43,788 - $52,548 (salary is commensurate with experience and shift/schedule)
