Veterinary Specialty Hospital (VSH) is looking full-time Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Specialty Hospital is a 24-hour state of the art emergency and specialty hospital in San Diego County. Specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care.

Shift Info: 8,10 and 12 hour shifts consecutive; specific days/times TBD. 30 hours considered Full Time with benefits

About the Job: As a Veterinary Technician you will be responsible for:

  • Obtaining and reporting vitals, prioritizing patient treatments and delegating tasks if needed
  • Recognize changes in patient status and report to doctor
  • Counsel owners, prepare medications and discharge patients
  • Collecting samples, placing IV catheters, prepare IV fluids and additives
  • Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, CRI's

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a progressive veterinary hospital setting required.
  • RVT or VTS preferred
  • Great work ethic and efficient
  • Positive outlook and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required
