Description
As a Veterinary Technician, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and technical support, including:
Obtain complete patient histories and perform patient assessments
Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
Place and maintain intravenous (IV) catheters
Perform laboratory diagnostics, including fecal examinations and urinalysis
Obtain diagnostic radiographs
Prepare patients for surgery and safely induce, intubate, and monitor anesthesia
Confidently monitor anesthesia for approximately two surgical patients per surgery day
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Support patient comfort, safety, and recovery throughout hospitalization
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Process prescription refill requests and client callbacks
Educate clients and communicate treatment plans alongside the veterinary team
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
Certified or Registered Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary technician experience preferred but not required
Strong anesthesia monitoring skills and confidence managing surgical patients
Proficiency with the above responsibilities
